Squid Game Vedic Numerology & Esoteric Observations

This article is intended for those who have seen the entire show or maybe this read will convince you to watch the show. I definitely recommend watching the show before reading this article so you can connect the dots better.

Either way, the purpose of this piece is to explore the Numerology or the study of the Numbers and the Energies these Numbers emit through this show.

 Numbers, like everything else in this life, come with a certain vibration and purpose. In this thread I will mainly be focusing on the Player Numbers but also certain symbols, colors and their link to the planets as per Vedic Astrology & Vedic Numerology. Knowledge that is rooted in India and thousands of years old. It is amazing to uncover the patterns that express through our creations and life today from the wisdom of the past.

 Let’s begin.

 Numerology & Planets Key:

Shakti, vessel of creation/potency - 0

Sun – 1

Moon – 2

Jupiter – 3

Rahu/North Node – 4

Mercury – 5

Venus – 6

Ketu/South Node – 7

Saturn – 8

Mars – 9

 Understand 0 as this. The more 0’s you add to a number the more potent or dense right? 10 vs 1,000,000. Or simply reading 7 versus 007.

gayatri-mantras-navagraha.jpeg

 In Vedic Astrology each of the 9 Planets (Navagraha) are deified and associated with a symbol.

First thing I noticed that was interesting watching Squid Game is that Triangle, Circle, and Square are the prominent shapes used for the Pinks. (game guards/organizers)

 Isn’t it interesting how Mars(Mangal) is associated with a Triangle and the Triangle Masked individuals were the one’s carrying the guns mostly?

Picture: Netflix

Picture: Netflix

Mars is associated with WARS. WEAPONS. ARMY.

 Square is the Moon(Chandra) and is the entity governing our Planet. Represents our MIND. Controls our emotional waves, represents our emotions, adaptive ability, instincts, desires, etc. Isn’t it interesting that the Square Masked Pinks were the top ranked overseers underneath the Frontman? (Moon’s influence is PROMINENT throughout this show.) MIND CONTROL.

 Circle Pinks = Sun. These are the “pawns” or “privates” in this organization. Carrying out the duties and having the responsibility of bringing the game players to the island. Sun comes up at  Dawn & Sets at Dusk right?

They brought the bodies there(dawn) and are the one’s dragging them out of the area to be cremated or “organ donated”(dusk)

Sun is responsible for our life force but also leads us into the Night(death). The Moon’s domain.

 Understand that the Moon changes phases and there is a DARK side to the Moon and the Moon is also invisible at times. The Dark side of the Moon or our MIND is what is exposed in this show. Which is why throughout the show, if you take note, someone with NUMBER 2 influence on their Player # is standing up, standing out/causing a scene.

Ex. Player (2)12 = Sobs and wants to quit after Red Light, Green Light.

Ex. Player 119 = 11 = 2 Moon = Stands out and holds a guard hostage.

Picture: Netflix

The players are all there without the public knowledge and due to their darker behaviors—gambling, extortion, malpractice, lies all for the sake of what? Money. Now they are in debt and critical situations because of Money.

Money is ruled by VENUS. 45.6 billion Won prize money.

4+5+6 = 15 = 1+5 = 6

6 is associated with Venus as per Vedic Numerology.

Venus is the planet of relationships/partnerships, luxury, art, beauty, harmony. Pink & Green are colors that complement each other.

As you see, Venus(Shukra) is symbolized by a Star. Isn’t the lit piggy bank in the room acting like a light source? Fridays are associated with Venus which is also why I chose today to post this.

Which brings us to our Main Character—Player 456 (4+5+6 = 15 = 1+5 = 6 = VENUS)

Seong Gi-Hun played by Lee Jung-Jae

When looking at numerology you do not just reduce numbers. Reducing numbers will give you the overall energy that is expressed but you can make further analysis and get more information through looking at the Numbers separately.

FOUR HUNDRED - 400

FIFTY-SIX - 56

So 4 is our leading number here. The catalyst energy if you will. The container. Rahu.

56 = 5+6 = 11 = 1+1 = 2 = Moon. The essence.

Rahu & Moon energy.

Separately:

Rahu, Mercury and Venus

In general, VENUS (4+5+6 = 15 = 6)

Gi-Hun is living with his diabetic mother, as a chauffeur, barely making it. There is a point where Rahu will destroy you – his obsession with his money and gambling got him into some trouble.

In the game, overall, he’s the DIPLOMATIC (VENUS) one of the group. Wanting to invite everyone, take care of the elderly man and have camaraderie. Wants everyone to win but of course in the back of his mind HE wants to win like everyone else. Moon also represents our comforts as well, so in the show he’s the one intensely (rahu) trying to make everyone feel comfortable (moon)

Rahu, the Dragons Head, is the planet of obsession, innovation, illusion, foreign things and fame. Rahu(4) influence on his Player number plus the (56)Moon indicates him changing his MIND a lot. Internal struggle.

Mercury is the planet of communication, trickery, business, intellect, skills, youth.

 In Vedic Astro Mercury is associated with the COLOR GREEN. Isn’t it interesting how the players are all wearing Green and playing CHILDREN GAMES(youth)? Pink is also the color of our BRAIN isn’t it? @Fashionastro(on Twittter) mentioned People with heavy Moon influence in their chart also tend to gravitate towards PINK colors sometimes. (Rohini, Hasta, Shravana)

 My mans Gi-Hun was energetically aligned with the prize money lol. Besides him being the main character, it’s understandable why he WON the games. Seeing numbers in order also represents a “going to plan” energy. Easy flow, like when you see 1234. Or In dance when you count in 5,6,7,8.

Lee Jung-Jae has Jyestha (Sidereal Scorpio) Sun & Revati (Sidereal Pisces Moon)’

Jyestha is the abode of Indra, The Chief of the Gods. Jyestha are famously known to be social climbers and Indra is known for “His hall also serves as an afterlife realm for brave, deceased warriors who, blessed with an eternity lacking fear, pain, and sadness, spend their time gambling, gaming, and watching the Apsaras dance to the sublime music of the Gandharvas.”

The social climber aspect is shown through Al Pacini in Scarface, Jyestha Moon and clearly here in Squid Game.

Jyesthas are also associated with Umbrellas and it’s interesting that Gi-Hun chose the umbrella in the Sugar game!

Jung Hoyeon as Kang Sae-byeok. Acting in Squid Game has changed her life forever. She’s gotten the most success from being in this show.

Player 067 – 6+7 = 13 = 1+3 = 4 = RAHU (general energy)

Rahu represents FAME & FOREIGN. Rahu or the North node, represents the path of our conscious mind. It represents obsession, like I’ve mentioned, and there have been many fan pages created for Hoyeon over the last couple weeks because of her appearance in the show. Not to mention she has a Sidereal Sagittarius Moon (Mula Nakshatra) lorded by Jupiter conjunct Rahu in her Natal Horoscope. Her Sun is also in Ardra Nakshatra(Sidereal Gemini Sun) which is a Nakshatra associated with Rahu.

I digress,

Sae Byeok was from North Korea and considered a foreigner or an outcast. She even made it top 3.

0 – shakti, potency, creative force (container)

6+7—RAHU (essence)

Separately – 6 = Venus/7 = KETU

KETU, the Dragon’s Tail, destroys and detaches people from relationships. A smokey planet that connects us to our roots, the past, and innate talents. Sae-byeok came into the game already having beef with Player 101. She was known as a pickpocket— able to move and steal from people without them knowing. Ketu is considered headless, and without the head you are unidentifiable right?

Ketu energy creates a smoke around all of us. It’s a fire we can never put out. It forces us to leave and abandon certain things in our life for a spiritual purpose.

Notice how husband and wife, Player 069 & 070 died in the game.

070 - The WIFE. 7 = KETU

069 - The Husband - 6+9 = 15 = 6 = VENUS

So the husband wasn’t willing to join the team without them accepting his wife as well, remember? VENUS - diplomacy, and MARRIAGE. He was focused on saving her as well. (I honestly cannot believe they BOTH came back to the game lol)

The Wife dying first is reflected through her player number associated with shadow planet Ketu. — Detached from the relationship which ultimately also led to the demise of the husband, who didn’t have purpose without the relationship.

When understanding the influence and the effects of these planets and the characters. It’s important to note how it relates to the character themselves and not in general.

See, for Gi-Hun — Venus, what he VALUED the most was the MONEY and THE PEOPLE, right?

The Husband Player- VENUS, valued his wife more than the MONEY.

squid-game-ending-explained.jpeg

Cho Sang-woo played by Park Hae-soo, Player 218 – He stole money from his clients and even tried to kill himself before returning to the game. He is the most manipulative and ruthless character throughout the show because he hides his true intent.

218 = 11 = 2 = Moon (GENERAL ENERGY)

2 = Moon

1 = Sun

8 = Saturn

Or

2= Moon

18 = 1+8 = 9 = Mars

Moon & Mars energy makes one SUPER observant & manipulative. Mars, the planet of action and strategy. Notice how he overheard Hoyeon speak to Player 212(Minyeong) about spying on the next game and wanted to get information. Notice how he didn’t tell Gi-hun to NOT pick the umbrella in the second game.

He’s driven by and drawn to the MONEY. Sang-woo understood that in order to get the money everyone else has to die. There isn’t a TEAM. But he’s gonna play like he cares cuz he’s coming off as MOON energy. 2 = the container. 18 (9) Mars = DUTY, WARRIOR. STRATEGIST.

I wanna emphasize separate numbers with this character

In the game he is motivated through his mind(moon/2) for a selfish reason(sun/1) because he is miserable and limited in his life.(Saturn/8)

 Saturn represents limitation, misery, scarcity. There is a sinister element to the dark side of Saturn that seeks control at all costs. I’ve always talked about Saturn and sacrifice as well. Saturn requires you to sacrifice to gain a reward. Sangwoo was willing to risk it all! Even his childhood buddy, Gi-hun, who had so much respect for Sangwoo, was at risk.

I found it interesting that the actor,  Park Seo-hoo, has Sun in Anuradha Nakshatra (Sidereal Scorpio) and this Nakshatra is associated with Saturn. His character was the only Main Character I noticed who had Saturnian influence in his Player Number.

Yoo Sung Joo plays Byeong-gi or Player 111 – THE DOCTOR.

Secretly helping some of the corrupt Pinks steals the organs of the dead Players in exchange for the next game information.

To be a Doctor you need a PHD. You need to be a master.

111 = 3 = JUPITER. Jupiter represents GURUS, TEACHERS, MASTERS. Associated with the 9th house of Special Higher education. You can’t just cut into these bodies and expect to pull out organs safely without having the proper education and certification.

1 = SUN ENERGY.

When you think about the Sun you have to be aware that the Sun represents the KING.

He has THREE Suns attached to his Player number. He is definitely looking out for himself.

Byeong-gi was SELFISH. Driven by his own gain with NO REGARD for anyone else ever. Notice how when he went to find a team he could join he found someone else with Sun energy? Player 101.

Jang Deok-su played by Heo Sung-Tae (101) – Gangster, Big head

He becomes a “rival” leader in the game.

1= Sun

01 = Sun

1 = Sun

0 = vessel for power

1 = Sun

All in all 1 + 1 = 2 = MOON. With the SUN energy creating this MOON energy—it’s reflected in the show he had a STRONG MIND and was shameless in showing it.

He had DOMINANT energy and was able to attract a clan easily and intimidate people as well. Overtly manipulative—On the Glass Bridge game he was looking out for himself so much to the point he wasn’t going to move along the bridge unless someone went ahead of him. That’s when karma comes to bite him, huh?

squidgame-unit-107-0013-min-1632923463.jpeg

One of my fave characters, Han Min-Yeo played by Kim Joo-Ryeong. (212)

2+1+2 = 5 = MERCURY

Wasn’t she the most communicative characters? The first player to come out and want to return home cause she didn’t name her child but also the first one to say something like “I’m good at everything except the things I’m not”

Which is a very Mercurial thing to say—“jack of all trades, master to none”

She even had a lighter in the Sugar game and snuck in cigarettes through her c*****.

MERCURY – trickster and youthful energy.

She didn’t let Deok-su hit until he guessed that she was 19 years old. (she’s obv not, but remember MERCURY = YOUTH)

Lead by that 2 energy though!! 2 = MOON, DESIRE, EMOTIONS.

With the optimistic energy of Jupiter.

Think about the compatibility of 101 and 212 Sun & Moon. 0 & 1 = Phallic and Womb energy. Hope yall are seeing it.

 She being the player with 1 in the center of her player number… she was more aggressive about saying she wanted 101… who had 0 as the center of his number = receptive, potent. She wanted his power.

It’s interesting to note that actress Kim Joo-Ryeong has Sidereal Mercury, Venus, & Mars all in Sidereal Virgo - All in Hasta Nakshatra. Virgo is ruled by Planet Mercury. Hasta is a Nakshatra of trickery, games and manipulating with your HANDS. Also a Moon ruled Nakshatra which is reflected through imitation abilities that this Nakshatra possesses.

Anupam Tripathi as Abdul Ali (Player 199)

Ali is a Pakistani migrant living in Korea. He’s in the game because of his duty to his family and he’s reached a limit working for a manipulative boss who doesn’t pay him.

1 + 9 + 9 = 19 = 10 = 1 = SUN

1 = Sun

9= Mars

9= Mars

There’s a specific moment where Sangwoo tells Ali to hide his hand when looking for teammates for Tug-of-War. Why? To look strong because he’s missing fingers from being INJURED at his mechanical job.

Mars represents injuries in Astrology—cuts, bruises, surgeries, anything invasive = MARS.

Ali is the player that comes through swinging the metal bar by himself to protect everyone. Mars is the soldier, right? He’s always calling the other male players 사장님 (sajangnim = BOSS, SIR, LEADER) and always speaking to them FORMALLY when the others speak casually to each other.

Willing to follow orders and trust the others so easily. Ready to perform well. Even gets manipulated by Sangwoo in the marbles game which leads him to his demise.

IMG_8612.JPG

001 – Oh Il-Nam “GGANBU” played by Oh Yeong-Su

I was NOT expecting him to be the CULPRIT and FACE behind the entire Squid Game but the Numerology explains it all.

0 - SHAKTI

0 -  SHAKTI

1 – SUN, LIFE FORCE. The START.

The Sun is also very blinding right? And when we are blind we cannot see, we are unaware. This is how I see the Sun reflecting through this Player Number.

Even when he yelled at the top of the bed telling everyone to STOP when they were all killing each other in the main room… the FRONTMAN saw him say this through the cameras and then stopped the fighting. CUZ HE’S THE LEADER. THEY WERE LISTENING TO HIM.

He was the force in the entire show that was controlling everything. This one is self-explanatory. He’s also the oldest. It’s interesting 001 has a Brain Tumor and 1 is associated with the 1st house = Sun is a Karaka of the 1st house. 1st house in Astro is the HEAD.

unnamedad.jpeg

Wi Ha-Joon as Hwang Junho – Manipulates his way into the Squid Game Scheme and becomes Pink 29. No Zero before his number because his Number is never visible.

2 = Moon

9 = Mars

2+9 = 11 = 2

 Remember what I said in Sangwoo’s section. Moon & Mars is observant and strategic. Dude snuck his way into the entire operation AND IT DOESN’T STOP THERE. He ends up taking on the number of someone who was a part of the organ trafficking.

Remember 9? Mars = anything invasive, surgeries, etc.

He even ends up being able to retrieve a Square Mask off one of the dead guards so he can act as a superior. (Square = Mars)

Overall, the Moon and Venus were the two main planets that I saw shown through the show. They are both considered Jala Tattwa (Water Element) in Vedic Astrology — so there’s an emotional and psychological element to the show. Pushing some of the characters to be on the brink of mental breakdowns while others get exposed for being as corrupt as they come.

What people will do for emotional comfort and stability is astonishing. While the VIPS are looking at this suffering and mental turmoil as entertainment.

The Moon as the governing body of our planet, mainly only showing partial sides of her essence at any time— Waxing, Waning, Full, and then disappearing completely when the Moon is New.

This show explores the Dark and deranged side of the Moon and Venus and how Rahu can amplify this. Rahu is a shadow planet that can bring people up to prominence really quickly but also take this away from them just as quickly.

I hope this article has inspired you to do your own research and I hope you were able to recognize the influence of the Planets expressing through the Numbers and Symbols throughout this show.
